The world was his etch-a-sketch. He looked at it, fiddled the dials of his mind and turned and changed everything. Mountains to valleys, oceans to deserts – behind his skull, he made a new earth. Then the grin would come, dark and gleeful, and the world would shake, and shake, and shake, until all was blank and empty again.
