The stretch of bike path between VRC and Alton Baker Park was closed for quite a while. Crews ripped up the old, worn-out asphalt, and laid a new surface of concrete. Today after work, with errands to run in town and around campus, I glided out of the office to the smooth, light-gray concrete. And friends, it was a nice ride. I had to make myself forget all the little jumps and swerves I was accustomed too. No more bumps to dodge, no more near-potholes to swerve around. I all but glided to the Ferry Street Bridge.
