Oregon Coast mystery reels in the curious

The mystery of the newly uncovered shipwreck on the Oregon coast continues:

What ship is this? Why did it run aground? How did it wind up here at Coos Bay’s North Spit, being examined, photographed and poked at by a handful of curious folks such as me?

  1. It was the George L. Olson.
More information on my blog (about Oregon shipwrecks among other things since Bill just completed a chart of Oregon and Washington shipwrecks)
Look for the posts called “Captivating Shipwrecks” there’s more about all the wrecks showing up, and pics of the chart.
