Rain? Bring the rain. We of Eugene shall meet it, with hearty winter ales and strong ales and any other heavy wintry beery goodness that comes to hand.

A Eugene autumn demands a hearty brew. 16 Tons, the bottle shop and tasting room on 13th & High in downtown Eugene, is bringing the malt this weekend with their first Winter and Strong Ale Fest. Over 50 local, vintage and hard-to-find winter beers will be on hand for sampling and purchasing.

Due to limited space, you'll need a ticket for the fest. Here's the full schedule, beer list and details:

3 sessions to choose from

  • Session 1, Friday, Nov. 19, 6-9 p.m.
  • Session 2, Saturday, Nov. 20, 1-4 p.m.
  • Session 3, Saturday, Nov. 20, 6-9 p.m.

Details

  • 16-tons-growlersTickets are $15 each, which includes your first 10 tasting coupons AND a free souvenir growler
  • Additional tastings are $1 each (most beers are 1 ticket for each 3 oz. taster)
  • The Nosh Pit will be on-hand with food to purchase
  • Designated Drivers welcome & entry is FREE! Help yourselves to Fentimans or Pellegrino soda for $1

  1. Friday night tickets going very fast. I recommend Saturday for maximum enjoyment. All sessions will feature the same beers. Some additions: Oakshire Collaborative Evil, Golden Valley Brewing Tannen Bomb, Nogne O Peculiar Yule, St. Bernardus Christmas Ale, and a very strong beer from Ninkasi…
