Oakshire & Ninkasi Bring Home GABF Gold Medals
The 2013 Great American Beer Festival just wrapped up in Denver, Colorado, and out of 250 total award winners and 25 Oregon medal winners, 2 are from Eugene.
Oakshire Brewing brought home GABF gold for Hellshire III in the Wood- and Barrel-Aged Beer category. Founder Jeff Althouse (first on the left) and brewmaster Matt Van Wyk (third from left) were on stage to accept the award:
Local juggernaut Ninkasi had a strong showing too. Jamie Floyd and his team took him GABF gold for Bohemian Pilsner in the Bohemian-Style Pilsener category:

Eugene Craft Beer Events
The Bier Stein hosts Pumpkinpalooza on Oct. 19. They’ll be pouring pumpkin beers from 15 breweries, including their own joint beer with Agrarian Ales. The Elysian Pumpkin Roadshow will also be there, complete with 12 beers and a giant pumpkin filled with beer. More info »
