Back on the Homebrew Horse

I have a confession to make: between babies and books, it’s been about 2 years since I last homebrewed.

But that’s about to change.

Last week I was telling my wife, Jodie, that I was going to get a haircut, and afterward I’d swing by the new location of the Falling Sky Fermentation Supply Shop.

“That’s great,” she replied. “Will you get a recipe?”

Hint, hint.

Our anniversary was also coming up (happy 6 years, sweetie!), and I remembered well the wise words a friend told me to ensure a good marriage:

“Happy wife, happy life.”

So I got a recipe. Later this week I’ll be brewing up an amber ale. My wife is excited, but so is our 3-year-old son. Every day since I got the recipe, Connor has said to me, “Daddy, are we brewing beer today?”

I’ll let you know how it turns out.
