Lunch with an Author, May 21, 2015

The Book NestThe Book Nest is a lovely wee bookstore in Springfield, Oregon. Each week from 12 to 2 p.m., they offer the public an opportunity to have lunch with an area author. Admission is free, but please make a purchase from the lunch venue.

On Thurs., May 21, you can have lunch with a certain Anthony St. Clair, a freelance writer and author of the Rucksack Universe books, a series of travel fantasy novels. (You probably haven’t heard of him, but you never know.)

Directions to Indulge! Antiques

From Highway 126, take the Mohawk exit. Pass Bi-mart and Dutch Bros. and turn left at the next light. In the parking lot, turn left then go straight back (away from Mohawk), between the two large buildings. Indulge is on the back side of the building on the left, with the entrance facing 18th Street.

The Mid-Valley Chapter of Willamette Writers is hosting an author panel on May 7, 2015. I’ll be one of the authors discussing how we balance our life responsibilities while also managing to make time for writing, editing, publishing, and marketing.

Details below. The discussion will be the main part of the agenda for the monthly meeting of the Mid-Valley Chapter, but the evening is open the public as well as members of Willamette Writers. You can also learn more at the chapter website.

Looking for your next great read, or some gifts for the holidays? Meet Anthony, 39 other Oregon authors, and 12 Oregon artists during the 15th Annual 2014 Authors & Artists Fair, hosted by the Lane Library League as a benefit for the countywide Summer Reading Program.

The event is held in the glass-roofed Atrium at the Fairgrounds, next door to the popular Holiday Market. Parking is easy.

FREE admission, suggested $1-5 donation.

All 3 books currently in the Rucksack Universe series will be available: The Martini of Destiny, Home Sweet Road, and the newest, released in September, Forever the Road.

A portion of the proceeds of all sales goes to benefit the non-profit Lane Library League.
